Description
Like green leaf lettuce, red leaf does not form around a head, but instead sends out wavy leaves from a stem. Red leaf starts light green around the stem, then transitions to a darker green and finally a deep maroon red around the ends of the leaves. It is rich in vitamins and nutrients and makes a very colorful salad.
