
Description
These sharp-flavored greens are actually the tops of the turnip root vegetable. Turnip greens are characterized by long, narrow green stems with flat, green and slightly fuzzy leaves. Known for their bite, turnip greens are traditionally cooked in a broth with salt pork. Turnip greens contain vitamins A and C as well as some calcium.
